"Let's Do It" - Debut Studio Album by Jemma Cher | Available OCTOBER 25!

Jemma Cher’s debut album "Let's Do It" is a dynamic, genre-blending collection of sophisticated jazz arrangements—featuring 10 tracks that showcase both her versatility and her seasoned band. A special collaboration with acclaimed Australian songwriter Lior, as well as an original co-written with her brother, Gideon Cher, add unique depth and personal storytelling to the record.

"This album encapsulates who I am as an artist—it's versatile, unscripted, and transports you to unexpected places. After a year of performing sold-out shows across Melbourne’s jazz scene, I wanted to give my audience something complete, something that reflects the journey we've been on. Instead of just releasing singles, I'm giving you an entire body of work," says Jemma. "Collaborating with such talented musicians, especially Lior on his song 'Sonja,' has been a real highlight."

Recorded in October 2023, the album was shaped by the vibrant live performances that have defined Jemma’s recent career. Each track is infused with the energy of a band that has captivated sold-out audiences throughout Melbourne.

A special thank you goes to Simon Starr, Jemma’s musical director, who not only wrote nine of the sophisticated arrangements but also produced, edited, and performed on the album. Simon's vocal accompaniment on their duet of "Scarborough Fair" adds an intimate layer to the album’s rich soundscape.
